The large Gas company Shell, with the help of Akon, unveil a football field that provides light via human footsteps. With this groundbreaking idea thousands of people living in Africa would be able to have access to light. Akon explains that he grew up in a place where energy was scarce, so it makes sense that he would want to be involved in this project. I wish the video dived more into how it actually works (it's unclear how the solar power aspect comes into play), but regardless it seems like a great idea. Hopefully they continue to follow through with the project; check it out below.
