This week's Sustainable Sunday features the durable, 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly produced textiles, developed by the Swiss company, "Freitag." The textile, known as Freitag F-ABRIC, is made from European flax fibers in combination with hemp and modal, which are then processed into a dense, tear-proof and scrub-resistant fabric. All the materials and components are sourced from and produced within 2,500 km of Zurich, which lowers the ecological footprint of the final product significantly by saving on transport and fuel.
