Examining Space Allocation of Different Modes of Transportation

 

  

 As more different forms of transportation have been made available over the years, cities are being faced with some major issues.  One of these issues is determining how much space to allocate for different forms of transportation.  With the rise of popularity in bikes and electronic bikes as transportation, more bike lanes have developed which takes away from car space.  Bus lanes also fight for road space.  Tobias Kretz from the PTV group put together an interesting video that shows a visual representation of space allocation for different modes of transportation.  It shows the amount of space needed for 200 people using different modes of transportation to cross a stop point at the same time.  Check out the video below!
