This Artist Fills Urban Decay with Colorful Crystals

 

If you go to most major cities in the world, you don't have to travel far to see some sort of decay or signs of deterioration happen.  As awe-inspiring many of the cities landscapes are, they can't combat the natural effects of decay.  One artist is playing on this irony.  Paige Smith has a project entitled "Urban Geode" which fills city cracks, gaps, and holes with colorful crystals. Paige is bringing beauty to decay with these creations.  The crystals stick out like flowers growing in a gritty environment.  Check out some of the photos below!
