In case you haven't been in tune with the hip-hop world for the past few weeks, a lot of buzz has been building around Big Sean's upcoming album Dark Sky Paradise. Artists from Drake to Pusha T were posting the artwork for it across their social media pages. Ok, big deal, Big Sean has another album coming out right? Well, one reason you should be excited about this album is because Big Sean is going in a total different direction with this album; it will be noticeably darker. I think this is a good move for Sean since most of his singles are usually fun/silly type of bangers. People sometimes underestimate the talent of rappers that use outlandish metaphors and unorthodox deliveries (Ludacris for example).
Personally, I like Big Sean's darker songs like Higher for instance, off of his Detroit mixtape
and even Paradise from MikeWillMadeit's Ransom Album...
One thing is for sure, Big Sean is a heavy spitter and shouldn't be counted out despite his poor album sales on his first two albums. I have a feeling this upcoming album will be his best yet.
