The Chicago rap scene is booming right now. Young artists from the streets of Chiraq are breaking through into the industry left and right, and this can all be attributed to the grimy, raw, menacing sound of drill music. Chief Keef popularized the sound along with Young Chop, and ever since its been a mainstay. I think now would be a perfect time for all of Chicago to get together and drop a project.
If all the Chicago artists put aside their differences, and collaborated with some of the best producers in the game, I think it would be a classic. Can you imagine? Cheif Keef, Lil Durk, Lil Herb, Lil Bibby, Lil Mouse, Chance the Rapper, King Louie, heck even Kanye. The Chicago rap sound is one so unique that it warrents a mixtape, maybe even an album.
