The Big 3 basketball League's tag line is "We're changing the game", and with their unique 3-on-3 set up, they certainly are. Ice Cube founded the league in 2017 and it puts All Stars, Hall of Famers, and World champions against each other on 3-on-3 basketball games. Besides their unique set up, the BIG3 league is changing the game in another way, by allowing players to now use CBD, the non-psychoactive ingredient in Cannabis. Leagues such as the NBA and NFL have had pretty harsh rules against Cannabis, despite many retired pro players openly admitting to using it while they were in the league. The BIG3 league's openness to CBD may be the start of a wave, even if its a small one. At the very least, we hope more sports leagues start to educate themselves and see some of the benefits that Cannabis can offer players as opposed to prescription drugs.
